I also want dental, eye care coverage to be included in the STATE health care plan. The state also can have Medical plans that let/allow Washingtonians can opt in or out of the state plan. So yes you can have state coverage at the MINIMUM or if your union or employer can pay for a better plan than what the state offers you can keep that plan. And covers preexist conditions.

A pledge to support legislation isn't worth the paper it's written on before I see the facts and language in the bill and study the fiscal note, as to what the bill costs. The best of intentions can't be paid for when there are no funds available, and the state is presently $4-5 billion in the hole going into this biennium.

I would strongly support health care that promotes health and does not incentive illness. All citizens should have access to the health (including mental health care) care they need and deserve.

Donna L. Sinclair	Democrat	Maybe	I absolutely support healthcare for all and will do everything I can to ensure all Washingtonians have access to healthcare. As someone who has had to purchase her own healthcare from Kaiser (the worst plan for a LOT of money) and prior to covid was driving to Monmouth, Oregon to teach at Western Oregon University because I can't get it in Washington when I teach part-time at WSU Vancouver, I am committed to ensuring we pass legislation that ensures everyone has healthcare. I have to see legislation that is practical before I can commit to publicly funded healthcare, though. I really like Whole Washington, but need to find out more about what a transition would look like.

Having said all that, I voted for Sen. Randall's Pathway to Universal Healthcare bill out of the House Appropriations Committee precisely because I want to see if there is a way this could work in Washington, and I look forward to seeing the recommendations from that workgroup.

Particularly so that our ERs are not continuing to face financial hardship from overuse by transients and persons under arrest when lesser levels of treatment are appropriate. I am particularly troubled by the responses from your organization's caller to the only two questions I asked: 1) "Where are your office locations?" Answer: "There are none." 2) "Is your organization advocating free health care for all persons, from all nations, which come to Washington State for their treatments so Washington citizens will be paying for all their health care?" Answer: "I cannot give you an answer to that."
