May 12 Zoom: How Racism Creates Health Inequities

Public health leaders reveal the basis for race-class health inequities. Join Health Care for All - Washington for “How Racism Creates Health Inequities”, a FREE One Hour Zoom Meeting, Wednesday, May 12 at 7PM.

Health equity speakers include:

Bob Lutz, MD, MPH, medical advisor for COVID-19 medical response for the Washington Department of Health, worked eight years with the Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) until 2020.
Heleen Dewey, health equity specialist with the SRHD, focuses on racial equity for better health outcomes and is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and is also Santee Sioux.
Amber Lenhart, MPH, worked with the Health Impact Project, a collaboration of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, D.C., and served as the SRHD health policy specialist.

Learn how COVID-19 has made obvious the disparities in public health based on socioeconomic position, race/ethnicity, nationality, nativity, immigration, citizen status, age and gender from the people who have been on the front lines of the fight.

The presentation will be followed by a Q and A to answer all your questions. Bring a friend and share with your networks!
