with Bruce Miyahara, MHA and Gary Goldbaum, MD
In our May presentation, Health Care for All-Washington heard from the former Secretary of Health from Rhode Island about the national movement for community-based primary care clinics. For June, the former Secretary of Health from Washington state, Bruce Miyahara, will share a model built in Seattle’s International District. The International Community Health Services opened its doors in 1975 and continues to offer services to the Asian and Pacific Islander population of King County. The first director of ICHS will share this founding story of the struggle for equality and social justice in health care.
Dr. Goldbaum, former Health Officer & Director of the Snohomish County Health District, will lead the discussion with Bruce.
Please join us on Tuesday, June 10, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, to discuss the work to establish health care as a human right in our state. We usually meet on Wednesday, but we are changing the day of the week this month.
