Our guest speakers, Robby Stern and Anne Watanabe, will tell us about the national coalescence to level the playing field to save Traditional Medicare that is being led by national groups such as the Center for Health and Democracy (led by Wendell Potter), People’s Action (led by Diane Archer), and Physicians for a National Health Program (Ed Weisbert’s efforts to Heal Medicare).

A citizen. A rebel. An advocate. An organizer. Robby Stern has been a leader in the Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action, the Social Security Works coalition of Washington, and the Washington State Labor Council.
Anne Watanabe is the co-chair of Race, Gender and Equity Committee of the Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action. Anne is an attorney with a background in land use and environmental law, and formerly served as a hearing examiner for the City of Seattle and King County. Anne is a Seattle native and a third-generation Japanese American, and is an essential part of PSARA’s work to achieve equity and social justice.
